Well lately there has been a lot on my mind. I will get into it all
here, want to get stuff out. Firstly, what else is on my mind but the
growing belly in front of me. lol. That is continually on my mind and
when the twins are coming! At this point you never know!! I am 35 weeks
and they could come at any time! The pressure for one makes one think,
"anyday now!" But the days have been passing fast! I have friends
checking my sites to see if they are here yet, and each time i tell
them, "not yet, Still waiting!" lol The waiting is the hardest part!
Always is at the end it seems. We are all excited. The boys too! The
nursery is done and we wait!. Everyone at church say "wow Emily, you
are making me uncomfortable just looking at you". Which bc i am
measuring 41 weeks, i dont doubt it. They are growing, which is great.
And every apt has been wonderful. Every ultrasound great. We have
truely been blessed with healthy kids! I know that I am blessed by my
kids and I pray that I can be a good mom and that they in return will
"rise up and call her [me] blessed". (proverbs 31). I know it will be
an adjustment to the way we do/did things around here, but we always
adjust and are fine! We have a great church family which are just as
excited about our addition so i know they will be a good support too!
So this is always on my mind of course. How could it not be, I carry
the babies around, feel them move, and go to weekly apts for them. and
we are thanking the Lord that everythign is going great and wonderful
for us and the twins!!
What else is on my mind. Well we had
such a great service this past Sunday. Great word, which I know God
wanted to be shared. God changed my hubbies sermon late Friday night.
When that happens you know it is God speaking! We had someone get saved
and many lives changed! It was about freedom in trusting God. That we
need to trust HIM and not rely on man, jobs, self etc. Bc sometimes we
can trust in other things more than our God. "trust in the Lord with
all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and HE will
direct your paths!" What a great promise!! but it all starts with
Trustin HIM!! It was a great service and God showed up and moved!
The
other thing that has been on my mind is eternity. How we measure
life.... How we should measure life i guess i should say. Bc when we
look at things through our natural eyes, its just life. A day to day
thing to get through. but when we look at life in the light of
eternity, it totally changes your perspective. When you look at the
things that are happening in the world around us, how thiings ARE NOT
getting better, and might not get better. Look at things through
Revelations, you can see the end is getting closer and closer. Promises
of better things, but when you look into things they really are not
better.... When you look at things in this way, you start to really
think about what your purpose is, and what God's plans are for your
life. What part God wants the church to play. Bc if the church starts
taking a backseat in this time, how will the gospel message be spread?!
It wont be! We have to activly show Christ everyday! I dont mean
always grabbing your Bible and preaching at people either, bc if you
notice, that scares people away sometimes. The world is searching for
something, it is searching for something real. For real people to step
up and show love not just beat you over the head with words! The world
is looking for love in action! Me and my hubby strive to do that! To
SHOW our love to the community! one example of that is that when my
hubby went shopping with a lady and someone in front of them were short
a couple bucks, so he gave them the rest so they could purchase what
they needed! And the thing is people notice those little things.
People can talk all they want but if you dont show Christ in your life,
your words are void to the world! That is why in Holley, we are trying
to do life differently! Trying to reach out in a tangible way, trying
to go where others might not be comfortable going, getting out beyond
the walls of the church and finding people who dont know Christ, and
showing them Christ in us! If we dont and if we just stay behind our
walls, the message will stop right there at the walls and no one will
know why we are here! they wont want to come out and visit the church.
But if we are going out in our daily lives and just being real and
trying to open our eyes to the things that matter to people, it will
make a difference and show them that there is someone who cares about
them. Yes we care, but it also shows that CHRIST/GOD cares for them and
their needs! It shows them that God does care about their daily lives!
So i guess my question is: where does your focus lay? is it the here
and now of the business of the daily life? or are you thinking about
eternity and that whatever you do and whatever you say can effect
someone's eternity? That is what i am/have been thinking about!
Blessings.
