so i finally got into the doctors this morning. he had a lot to say and a lot happened. he first gave me a rectal suppository for my nausea...has anyone else heard of this? he said it was the most effective kind. im like uhh isnt there something that works just as well through my mouth. he said this would be better. i have yet to let my husband stick it up my ass. that just plain turns me off. also he told me everything seemed good though i did have to get an ASAP appointment with my high risk doctor i had with dylan since i am high risk again for my blood clots in the past. yea i get that and all but he said dr. stoessel (my high risk doctor) will be perscribing me heparin which ive had before and its a needle form that has to be given by a shot in the belly every 8 hours that i do myself...every 8 hours. by 3 weeks past my whole belly was black and blue with blood marks from sticking myself so much. now he expects me to do this in my belly for the next 7 months??? your kidding right. that will get so old but i understand i will be doing it because its what has to be done.
i also went and got my first ultrasound. going off of my last period i would have been a little over 10 weeks today. she backed me up 3 weeks judging by the babys size and everything and estimates me at 7 weeks and 1 day and concieved on sept 6 09. so now i am not due until june 13..which i guess is good in a lot of ways seeing my husbands birthday is the 17th of june. so that will be a nice birthday present for him.
also, i have been informed that i will not have the choice of a VBAC..as i thought they were becoming more common he said the hospitals will not allow him to let me give birth if i have already had a c-section. so i guess giving birth is out of the question which i crazily wanted to give a shot. oh well. bye bye vaginal birth. i guess i could still go into labor and then start the c-section cuz im nuts if i do wind up doing that. haha
so baby no. 2 it is by c-section on june 13th with 9000 heparin shots in my belly by the end of it.
thank you pregnancy!!! yay though!! haha

Yeah, I wanted to try for a VBAC as well, but my OB basically told me that no hospital in the state would allow it... boo-hoo, but I came to the realization that I already have a c-section scar, why would I want to push a kid out my va-jay too? One or the other is fine, but I don't want both!
They really want you to inject heparin 3x a day?? Are they concerned at all about the effects that could have on the baby, or is it a low enough dose not to matter? That just sounds crazy, I mean diabetics inject regularly but it's very small amounts with tiny needles and they can vary where they put it (not always in the belly!).
Glad to hear you both are doing okay though, so here's to the next 7 months!

When I was pregnant both times I was so nauseous I had to have the phenergan suppositories. But if you can get past where they have to go in they will make you feel much better. My husband had to do it for me to. I hope that you get to feeling better. FYI my firend had a csection with her first baby and she just had her second one two months ago and it was a vaginal delivery. I would ask again later on . The main reason that doctors do not want to do them is because it is an inconvience for them. If all else fails you could find a doctor that is willing to let you try a VBAC.
