Ok now that you have read this and seen the commercials in question, was that your first thought? Really, my first thought about the Chris Farley spot was how much I love that scene in that movie, granted every time I see Chris I do think that is was such a tragedy that he died but I really didn't think that this was distasteful.

On to the Poltergeist spot, the first thought I have about this is Wow what a scary movie. It never crossed my mind that the little girl had died so many years ago.

So honestly is these offend you, you need to go back under your rock. Get real people.

I have to say, when I saw the Chris Farley commercial (haven't seen the other one), I did think "why would they use that, since he's dead?", but I can't say it offended me. I just thought it was a little odd.
