There are many Social Networking Websites out there. It is definitely the "New" Thing these days. It is the main way people keep in touch, meet other's, share pictures and updates and all around a much easier, quicker way to get in contact with all your family, friends and meet new people! Years ago starting a Home Business meant going to friends and family, promoting locally, doing weekly local meetings and many other ways that were sometimes very difficult. Especially for those with children and outside jobs. This day in age growing a business online is more than possible, it is actually one of the number one way people grow their Home Business.

What many seem to confuse though is spamming and building relationships. Going out there and joining a site then spamming left and right your opportunity will not look good by any means. Now if you were to go and add friends, create relationships, share stories and be a bit more personable don't you think you would have a way better response? Going out there and growing your Home Business does not mean posting tons of spam everywhere hoping someone will join or buy your service or product. It is building relationships, caring about their needs and wants and being willing to go above and beyond to to help those around you.

Social Networking Sites are one of the best ways these days to grow a Home Business or Opportunity. You can create profiles with a ton of your information and just build relationships. You can build and grow groups, find many posts on different subjects and participate in all around fun while growing your Home Business or Opportunity. Some are different from others... you will have plain basic ones like Facebook and Twitter but you also have other sites where you can add widgets and gadgets to make your profile colorful and informative like Myspace and Blogger.

The main tips to growing your Home Business or Opportunity on a Social Networking Site are...

1. Make sure you have a great Profile. Put as much information, pictures, widgets, gadgets, colors, personal stories, etc. on there that you can. Make it look professional but personable. You will want to ensure you put all the information on your Home Business and Opportunity on there, also the Service or Product Information you are representing. This gives your prospects the information at hand and makes calls and answering questions a lot easier.

2. Add Friends, Make Friends and Socialize. You will want to make sure you are finding people you have things in common with and adding them as friends. Getting to know others and socializing. When you are networking with in the site more frequently the more you grow on that Social Networking Site and the more you grow on the internet. You then become more well known on that site which in return can help you grow your Home Business or Opportunity.

3. Join Groups and Create Groups. Join as many groups as you can that focus on what you have to offer and your area of expertise. There are many work at home groups, home business groups and such on these sites. Become members and participate in those groups. You can also create your own groups on most sites. Create a group with a Subject that you have alot of knowledge in, make it interesting and starting inviting other's to join. As it grows, your profile will grow.

4. Find areas where you can Answer Questions. A lot of the Social Networking Sites have a Question and Answer area where you can find many to help and answer their questions. Or you can ask questions yourself. Both sides will get you out there on that site.

5. Do NOT Spam. Treat other's the way you want to be treated. Become friends with them and get to know what they are looking for and how you can help them. You can go and add friends and socialize on different profiles but do NOT spam your opportunity or services / products everywhere. That looks tasteless, rude and tacky. You will get a lot less business this way.

All in all Social Networking is one of the top ways to grow on the Internet. Take advantage and teach yourself how to work a couple of them to help grow your business. I love using Networking to grow my business. I HATE being on the phone for hours on end...so Social Networking has been my #1Favorite!
