Hi New Friends!
The holidays will be here before you can say "where did the time go?". I thought I would share one of my traditions with you, which is cookie gift giving. Everyone appreciates this gift and the time and love that's put into it. If someone you know is on a diet, you can choose low fat cookie recipes and for diabetics, sugar free. There are even low carb or carb free cookie recipes. It's a winning gift all the way around. Cookies are one of my favorite comfort foods and I know many people enjoy that favorite with me! Not to mention what a great way to spend quality time with the kids all season long.
I've started my cookie series with a review of a lovely book from Wilton called Wilton's Cookie Exchange. You can read the review here: Wilton's Cookie Exchange Review. This book blew my mind! It is a must have for hosting cookie exchange parties, decorating cookies and is also great for anyone who decorates anything!
I have much more coming in the cookie series; not only cookie recipes, but books, products, ingredients, tips, techniques, methods and more! It's time to start baking and freezing for cookie gift giving. In this time and economy, a box or bucket of cookies is a gift that not only shows your heart and baking ability, you can also give the cookies with the recipes and cookie cutters or perhaps a copy of the Cookie Exchange and it still costs less than a generic gift that would not be near as nice or personal.
For your claim to fame, please leave in the comments section on one of my cookie series pages on the Examiner or email to lindatalbott@yahoo.com, your original cookie recipes and, if desired, your original photos of your cookies to have them included in the cookie series! You will get name and photo credit!!
I'd love to hear about your favorite products, ingredients, cookbooks and holiday cookies! Or your fav comfort food! Just leave the comments on one of my pages on my main page on Examiner.
