Dummies (some call them other cute names like pacies and binkies)

But I refuse to call it anything else - it's a fake replica of a human body part! And that's what we call fake replicas of a human body or a body part.
A dummy is a fake nipple, used to substitute a real thing - mom's breast.
I HATE it when breastfeeding women call themselves pacifiers! :(

My boys sure did love them tho! 
haha i agree. while i was pregnant i swore up and down that my son would never have one--- guess what, hes a huge paci baby, only when hes going to sleep but none the less it is one of the few things that will soothe him in that half asleep stage, even after he falls asleep and lets go of it i can hear him sucking in his sleep!
