I am currently working from home for a major retail television station. I've been working in a sales/customer service position now for over 2 years.

It's acutally sort of funny when people hear I work from home. I get all kinds of responses such as "cool I want to do that" or "wow can you get me a job there" "I've got a little one and I can't afford daycare working from home would be awesome" and the list goes on. While telecommuting to some has been around for a while many still don't understand the concept. The advantages of working from home are many.  You get to sleep in and not worry about getting up 2 hours before to get dressed and put the makeup on plus the drive time. I get to create my own work enviroment that makes me commfortable. Some of the disadvantages is the face to face contact with those you work with, sometimes feeling alone and out there. You have group chats at work but it's not the same. Working from home with little ones at your feet isn't a good thing and many employers who hire work at home agents will ask if you have any distractions such as little ones. While you work a set schedule you also have set breaks and lunch breaks. You are working a set work schedule just like if you were employed outside the home. Companies frown on hearing kids, dogs and outdoor noise in the background.

Working from home isn't as easy as it would seem but, it fits my lifestyle very well.
