To the woman at the grocery store gossiping in back of me-- screw you. How dare you tell the person your with that I look like a rag-a-muffin in sweats and a t-shirt. Do you know me, do you know my life?

First off, I'm a stay at home mom. Why do I need designer clothes to go to the store???? I do have dress clothes and nicer clothes for when I do go out.  I'm going home to clean a house that 3 out of 5 of us are sick because of swine flu or colds, take your pick. I'm not wearing a dress to scrub toilets, sorry.

second, I do have money for clothes dumba**. I choose to not buy clothes for myself because I don't go anywhere but home or a sports practice or to a store for a few groceries. I choose to spend my money on tuition for a Catholic school and for them to play baseball, football, and  hockey.

which bring up another point,I make sure my children have what I didn't without spoiling them. Don't get me wrong if they don't want to play I don't make them, They have to earn the right to play by keeping up their grades and doing a few chores.

Back to the money, I make sure my children and husband have what they need for their selves. My hubby is a carpenter and knock on wood is still working. I save what money I can for the times he gets laid off.  So tell me b**** how do you feed a family of 5 when no money comes in and you have bought clothes with the money you should have been saving????? HUH Please enlighten me????

Next -- I volunteer at my children's school and I am going to start classes come January. My house is clean and my laundry is done. I clean everyday and I sit down and help with homework if need be. I make a home-cooked meal 5 out of 7 nights. I'm organized and on top of almost everything.

Tell me lady do you have kids and do you know what they are up to? Now I know again that both parents have to work to make ends meet. I don't have a problem with that. I don't have to. DON"T tell me I'm lazy because I choose to stay home and take care of my children and go to classes when my hubby gets home.

Last--I am an educated woman. I went through and graduated highschool. I also had a few semesters of classes in college. I had children and stopped taking classes. I am now going back to school. Don't treat me like I'm some backwoods hick from the wrong side of the tracks. No one is on the wrong side. Some are more priviledged than others and that's okay.

People, show others respect and I will respect you.  I don't mind telling you my story why I look the way I do. But just don't assume. You know what assuming does?

It makes an ass out of you and me.

Thank you.  angry

Damn straight.  I can't believe she did that.  That was rude.  Who cares what someone wears as long as they wear it.  I know i would rather see someone in sweats and a t-shirt rather than them being naked. :) I think people have lost politeness somewhere down the road.  I'm sorry you experienced this, but just remember that there people that love you and don't care what you wear. :)
