So this weekend turned out waaay lots better than I thought it was going to. I thought Jerby would miss out on Halloween altogether and we would lose our house because we couldn't pay rent. But everything turned out OK in the end... mostly.

Mike ran out to the store before we got up Saturday and got Jerby a cheap mask and plastic butcher knife. Luckily he thought this was the world's greatest costume! We just put the mask on and put him in his black insulated hoodie and black pants and tada! Pumpkinface murderer! Mike wasn't able to get the night off, which was just as well since we need like $300 to make rent. But his mom came and got us and we hung out at her house and handed out candy until it started getting dark, then went on our own trick-or-treat adventure! He ended up getting lots of candy and I got to hang out with my MIL & her boyfriend and smoke a few good "cigarettes". Jerby had a blast, I'm glad because he's now at an age where he'll remember if Halloween sucked.

As for Mike's end of things, he actually made rent! After having a dead week at the shop a bunch of people came in to get tattooed Halloween night! He made enough to cover rent... and that's all. So come Sunday afternoon, when we usually do our grocery shopping, we had no money after we dropped off the rent. We managed to scrounge up enough odds and ends to eat though. Monday was a different story. I spent all day trying to reach my mom who still owes me a few bucks for dogsitting, but never could get her. Mike ended up having to borrow $20 from his mom so we could eat and have gas for him to get to work today.  Hopefully he'll get some business. We still don't have money for any of our bills, but we aren't late on anything so we can just not pay them if we have to. Next month will be disconnect notices, but hopefully by then we can square up with them.

There still hasn't been much progress on opening our own shop. But it's really a matter of waiting for just the right moment to jump. Heath has a storefront already, he'll have to evict the current tenant (some craft lady) though, so that may take a little while. They aren't going to buy an autoclave or ultrasonic at first, just use disposable grips/tubes until they can afford to get the real deal. No thermafax either, they can just make stencils by drawing it right onto the thermafax paper, which they have gobs of. I just hope it all goes down soon. I'm really looking forward to having a happy husband and being able to spend time with him at work and even get tattooed again! Not to mention not having to be under the thumb of a couple of psychopaths. LOL It'll be a whole new chapter!
