This year I started work as the lead Pre-K teacher for the 4 year old class at our local pre-K...I love the teaching, LOVE the kids...and am growing to REALLY dislike the parents...WHY??? I'm on round 2 of antibotics and have been on steroids for a month...how is that the parents fault you ask? Because if your child is SICK, running a fever, coughing, has colored mucus from nose...they should be HOME not in pre-K

I get one more mom tell me...."He was feverish last night and didn't sleep well but he WANTED to come to school today" I swear I will hit her upside the head with a ruler...NO sick child wants to be in school...they don't want Ms. Lisa holding them, they don't want their friends...they want MOM and to be home!!!

Please I understand needing to work, I understand busy schedules but please understand if you send your child to school sick you are infecting the entire class. The entire class is also affected because guess how much learning can take place when I am busy cleaning up vomit, wiping noses, or comforting a crying sick child....

I think I speak for teachers everywhere when I say "KEEP YOUR SICK CHILD HOME!!!" thanks!
