I had fun one day going through the different YouTube videos of people
finding beach sea glass from different places in the world. It was so
interesting to me how different it can be.
In one video, I think she was in Puerto Rico, the rocks were just bare
(not bare of glass but of waves washing over it) and she was able to
walk leisurely and pick up glass with her little daughter. How cool is
that?
If that happens to me I am having a lucky day! Most times I have to
stand in the waves and my ankles and shins get battered by the bigger
rocks that come through. I mean sometimes I come home with some mean
bruises. Fortunately for me I heal quickly (not like Wolverine though).
The other day I got tumbled by the tumbler. Sometimes the water rushing
in is so strong it just sweeps you right off balance and before you
know it you're being tumbled under the water! Ugh! I hate when that
happens! This time though I was a little worried while being tumbled
because the water was rushing up by a large drift wood tree with jags
sticking out. It's ok, I missed it! Whew! I was worried though! It's
the same jags I tell the surfers to be careful for and here I am
tumbling by it!
But it's so fun and I Love it. It's not only a time to find beach sea
glass it's also I time when I feel close to Ke Akua or God and I do a
lot of conversing at that time.
What's really awesome too is when I see gigantic honus (green sea
turtles) swimming in the waves. I noticed that when I see one or some
glass just seems to pop right up in front of me, lots of glass. But
that's probably just coincidence.
