In the Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, education adviser to Reagan turn whistle blower Charlotte Iserbyt provides solid proof that the socialist elites have taken over our educational system. During her time as education adviser, Charlotte collected numerous documents to construct a paper trail, documenting what has happened to our schools, exactly who did it, when and why. This paper trail is available in her book, which you can download free online at http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/

John Taylor Gatto, former NY teacher of 30 years and NY teacher of the year, has also detailed the history of what has happened to American education in his book The Underground History of American Education, which you can also read free online at http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/underground/

It sounds like a conspiracy theory, one that strikes us all so close to home, that it would be easy to dismiss if it weren't for the apparent dismal condition of Education in America today. Despite this, the first thing we have to ask is why anyone would ever want to dumb down America?

At America's founding, most people were highly educated. By highly educated, I don't mean they had gained years of job training or had become "experts" on an area so obscure or minute that it has no relevance to the real world. By educated, I mean that your average farmer could read and write. He could read the federalist papers and understand them. He could understand the words in the constitution and what they meant. He understood property rights and respected the principles of free enterprise. Most importantly, he read the bible, and understood who he was. Your American of the founding generation was educated enough to use his brain, yet supported himself with his own hands through farming or an apprenticed trade.

Around the beginning of the 20th century, wealthy European families came to the United States and began to exert their influence. Whether they were at first well-intentioned I personally cannot say, but over the last 100 years, the American educational system that taught young Americans what they needed to know to be free, a system decentralized, supported by communities and run by families, as been systematically deconstructed and replaced with a work-training system based on the factory model, designed to train compliant obedient workers to follow orders, or experts beholden to the establishment.

Why would these several wealthy families do this? Is it not human nature for those in power to desire more? Is it not the nature of absolute power to corrupt absolutely? We are on the fast track to a One World Government, with all the power over the various nations of the earth, including our once beautiful and once free America, gathered into the hands of few. This is do diametrically opposed to what America was founded for.

We cannot suffer our children to be educated in this manner any longer. Abraham Lincoln said that the philosophy of education today will be the philosophy of education tomorrow. The single most important thing we can do today to change the future is to take back the responsibility of educating our children from the government
