I did it in two weeks. I reached my goal to lose 7 pounds. Some might say that isn't a lot but to a five foot one woman with high blood pressure and 165 pounds that is a mile stone.
I have tried everything to lose weight and being in the medical field I hold up a cross every time I walk past diet pills. I even did P90X! But the problem was I was so over weight and so out of shape that it practically killed me every time. I would sleep in because I hurt all over and when I would stand up after 9 hours of sleep I would get so dizzy I had to stay in bed until 1pm.
So then I hear an ad late one night from studying for my final about "Anytime Fitness" and they were doing a Laboratory Fitness Test. And they needed volunteers to test it out on. All it cost was 20 dollars that was refunded to you after the trial was over which was 21 days. I was sold! I went in at 165 pounds and after three days I was at 168 pounds. I started freaking out! I kept thinking of what could I have possibly eaten that could have done that?! Then I worried about maybe something is really wrong with me and I couldn't lose the pounds. But I kept working out and I up'd my work outs from just going in during the morning to going in before bed.
I go in and hit the treadmill (I warm up at home with some Yoga before I go) and I do the fat burner for 30 minutes. I have to keep my heart rate between 125 and 195... but it usually sticks around 165. Then I go to the weights and do 20 reps on 6 different machines for my legs. Trust me the first week of leaving the gym I had a hard time walking lol. And then 8 more weight machines for every part of my arms. And lastely 2 machines for my abs.
It was the benefits I started noticing first. I was sleeping 8 hours instead of my normal 10 or 11 hours. I was up every morning for my cup of coffee with oatmeal. I wasn't out of breath when I walked from my car to my class room. I didn't feel like I needed a nap at all which by noon I felt like if I didn't take a nap I wouldn't make it through the day. And I didn't feel like snacking all the time.
Then I started noticing physical changes at the end of week one. My skin felt tighter, it was definitely clearer, and this might sound funny but my body resembled the look of melting. LOL my skin was literally sagging so much it looked like I was melting. I went from NEEDING three bottles of Coke a day to maybe once a week.
I am on day three of week two and I can say I have lost a total of 7 pounds already and my trial isn't even done yet. So if I get a job I might have to get a membership at "Anytime Fitness" and I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a good gym. They don't have daycare or a shake bar like the fancy gyms but they definitely have results.
And if I can't, maybe I will be in shape enough to start the P90X again.
