Stop!

This may sound ridiculously simple. But it worked for my son when he was 3. He used to leave the house...even when it was locked...was...anyway he knew what a stop sign meant. So I put a huge red paper stop sign on the door. we practiced a bit and for some reason he stopped or slowed him down a bit. My son is a visual learner completely! Visual cues even simple ones have helped
