Recently I bought Rosie a new car seat that lets her rear face up to 40 pounds. It was kind of a shock one day when I realized she had abruptly outgrown her infant seat. I seriously don't remember this happening so fast with the other kids.

Today, it was Sara's turn. The three year old.

I've had some trouble buckling her in for a while now, and if she was wearing a coat it was an extremely tight squeeze. Today it occurred to me--hey! Your little gal is getting BIG and might need a NEW seat!

So I checked the height/weight limits on the seat. 36 inches, 35 pounds. Hmm, I thought, I'll bet she's close to that.

I just weighed and measured her. 40 inches, and 39 pounds. Well blow me away.

Guess I'm going booster shopping tomorrow.

Up they grow before you know.  *giggle*

Bless your heart, doll!  May you find a great seat at a great, low price!

You grow those kids big up there in Maine.  I don't think my youngest was that big until he was 6.  He is 10 now and weighs about 50 lbs.

Darn kids... you feed them everyday and I'll be darned if they don't get bigger...

My little one will be 18 in Dec, she wants to go to college next year, I'll trade you even up for Rose or Sara.  AND, I'll buy the booster seats.

Christie bullied her (and bribed her with Tiramisu [from Katie!]) into getting a pink Nautilus.  :)

LOL I was like that when Joss outgrew her infant seat. I think it was good until 22 pounds, but she's just so dang long! I think we abandoned it and got the convertible seat when she was like seven months old.
