Writing online is a dubious endeavor. You need to stop and think about every single word you type. Granted there is a delete button, but sometimes you don't use it fast enough. Like if you write a note in a group or to a friend...it may seem perfectly plain to you what you said, but the reader may not get it. And more than that, they may be offended by it. It is very  hard to speak with words today. We abbreviate and 'scribble' off words so fast that they can blister someone with their lack of vowels or letters. We may think a comment is hilarious and someone else may cry because of it. And if you don't explain yourself well enough, the idea behind your message could be lost totally.

I do not think that has happened to me, in particular, in here yet. However, in other places I have lost a friend due to I am not exactly sure what! It is something kind of funny. I used to fancy myself a writer (and I can write, very well.) but when I write, I tend to think it out very well. I don't just think and scrawl..I think, think again and then write and then re write. Even after I think it is done, I still edit. Things that don't happen in normal conversation and often online is not 'normal' conversation. No matter how familiar we feel with it.
