My youngest son would have been 6 months old this Christmas if he hadn't died. In his honor, I want to do something. I've thought about giving gifts to a child that would be my sons age, whose parents can't afford anything. I don't even know where to begin on finding a child. My other thought is donating things to the children's hospital that my son was at. Donating to the hospital would be a whole lot easier and I could help more kids. Another thing is that we don't have a whole lot of money to get things. I found this

Wooden Beaded Guardian Angel Necklace Craft Kit

I thought about letting my kids help me make these and sending them to the hospital. What do you think? Are they too cheap? Any other ideas on what I can do thats also budget friendly? I appreciate any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, or even voting popular. TIA.

I think the hospital idea is great... and the necklaces are cute, kids like little treasures like that, and even if they don't actually wear them I'm sure they might get hung up in their bedrooms or saved to remember always!

Have you considered baby holding, lots of babies that are in children's hospitals even here in the US are without family to hold and love on them. What about taking a few hours for you and your huband to go hold and love on a child who is without a family. I know how important loving arms are to children to are sick. I worked in orphanages and children's hospitals in Romania for 2 years. You'd be surprised at what a few hours holding, talking to, and a few kisses can do for a small, sick infant.
