This is my first time writing a journal on here..Im really worried about my 4 yr old son..He has been runnning a temp between 101-104...took him to childrens hospital today and they said he had a viral infection....He has laid around all day to day....Checked his temp a few mins ago and it back up to 104.3....I would do anything for him to b up and running around right now instead of laying down...
I just wanted to say THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU ,He is still running a low grade fever and i am thankful he is up running around now..He still has diarrhea,He had to have blood work done yesterday to see what is going on with him..They said that it looks just like the virus is still hanging on to him...He is my mircle baby...When he gets sick I worry about him because of his heart..again THANK YALL SO MUCH

We just went through this with our 22 month old. He wouldn't eat ANYTHING for 3 days, would hardly drink to the point that he could go almost an entire day without a diaper change & was just wanting to be attached to my side. He didn't even want to watch Caillou or play with his foam letters - 2 of his favorite things. He just followed me around all day long & slept most of the time. I just kept alternating tylenol & motrin every 3 hours round the clock. Took him to the dr on Tuesday & he has double ear infections on top of virus. No medications will take care of the virus but since started antibiotics for the ear infections, he's finally playing, watching cartoons & doing his own thing again today!! Woohoo....Hope things get better soon for your lil guy!
I'm sorry your son is sick. I hope he will feel better soon.

When my 12 year old was younger she would run high fever from viral infections about once a year. Just keep taking care of him and giving lots of mommy hugs and before you know it he will be running around again. Be sure to follow the DR's orders with tylenol and motrin to help and keep him lightly dressed, that always seemed to help my daughter. Good Luck
Oh mama, it is so hard when your little ones are sick. He'll be ok. It just has to run its course. Pray over him if you believe in God. I already prayed for you and him too.

Motrin and Tylenol every 6 hours Motrin then 3 hours later Tylenol then 3 hours later Motrin again, Try a warm bath and offer lots of fluids, popcykles etc. Dont worry too much about food right now just get those fluids.
