An appt. was scheduled for me to meet the surgeon. She talked with both my husband and I for quite awhile giving a lot of information and answering questions. Bryan said I was sitting on the table with this "deer in the headlight" look in my eyes. Little did we know that I would come to have that look many, many more times! She also gave us her game plan if you will. There would be a breast MRI, chest x-rays, an oncology evaluation, another visit with her to discuss the results of all the tests and finally on July 9th, surgery to remove the 2 areas plus a needle loc biopsy on my lymph node. This would be followed by radiation treatments (maybe chemo, if needed), and last but not least, anti-hormone therapy to make sure all cancer cells were killed off.

While I was running around to all of these appointments, I barely had time to think. I made a lot of calls to family and friends so, many prayers started going up for me. Everyone was uplifting and told me not to worry. I was pretty optimistic about the outcome and even went so far as to think everything was going to be okay. I also got online & made a couple friends from the Cancer sites. They were & still are very supportive. Plus, I found cafemom around this time. I've found loads of supporting moms on here. People will definitely stand in the gap for you.
