Addictions of any type!

 An addiction is a habit that cannot be controlled without help. Addictions come in all types and attack all walks of people. Lets start with some of the not so bad ones, first there's your typical "Eating habit" which a lot of people have but it can go unnoticed especially if the person is not over weight. Over eating or food addiction can eventually cause all types of problems including,cancer,diabetes,heart attack,high blood pressure and obesity to name a few. Secondly,there's the great and terrible "Sex addiction" and I say that because their are some of us who run from our Husbands who suffer from sex addiction and the others thank God because they really love it and can't get enough. WAIT!!! Does that make them a sex addict as well? Absolutely not! A sex addict is a man or woman who is so extremely addicted to sex that they are actually suffering and want to stop but can't. They may even be pushed to extremes like forcing themselves on someone or using objects to satisfy the urge that so horrible controls them. Now we will get into some of the most suffered addictions in this age. There is "Alcohol" which is a humdinger! I think this one is as old as sex. Typically there is nothing wrong with drinking but when we get into over drinking,drinking and driving,drinking and beating and or raping someone and drinking things that we can't handle. Some people can drink almost anything and be just fine and others can't even drink a half of a glass of wine. Some have also killed under the influence of "Alcohol". Alcohol in moderate amounts is harmless but for the addicts comes:liver damage,heart problems,dehydration,rotten teeth,very bad breath,cancer of the mouth,throat and stomach and that's just a few. Most of the times when the Alcoholic refuses help, they die. Here we go! "WEED"! The plant that a lot  of people want legalized. Well,marijuana is usually a gateway drug simply because it only gets you high to a certain degree and then what most people do is start using something  else with it and or move on to "Higher ground", so to speak! Things like "cocaine"! However, today's drug of choice is,"Pills,Pills and more Pills". There are so many people addicted to "Pain killers" that they are Killing Themselves! Doctors and Nurses are even addicted to pain killers and they are losing their jobs left and right because of it. Doctors and Pharmacist's are being arrested for selling on the side and writing perscriptions unlawfully. Why did I write this post? Because someone asked why it had not been addressed. They also asked why didn't anyone come forward with an addiction problem. Well, maybe because their too HIGH ?
