No new Clothes for baby!

I REFUSE to buy new baby clothes for this baby....REFUSE.

I am Just so sick of all the Money people spend on clothes that wont fit in 2 months! (Or less!). Why Does a baby need a 100$ wardrobe?? THEY DONT!!!

I have started collecting "used" clothes, what is the Big deal with used clothes for babies? I just Dont get it! They are JUST as cute! Used doesn't = Stained and Dirty people!

I am So happy I am not falling for the Idea that a Baby has to cost butt loads of money..

It wont cost vary much at all! I can make a New Rap out of Fabric, I will breastfeed (The BEST is Free!!!), we have carseats and strollers (But you can get REALLY nice ones at consignment shops for a fraction of the Cost of new), and I plan to cloth diaper so Diaper costs are slashed!

Why is it so awful to buy used? are people really so consumed by things, that they must spend spend spend to feel like they are having a baby?

Ok, I am done LOL

My son got lots of things at showers, but only had 2-3 outfits bought new by me. at least for the first few years. he's always had an overflowing closet since before he was born and people always tell me how cute his clothes are. Go for it Momma!

Yep I agree my oldest hand maybe 2 new outfits from me, my second got a lot of stuff on ebay lots and my third got big bro and big sis clothes plus ebay and friend's hand me downs.

 kept almost everything from my pregnancies after i had my 1st childi gave away most of it t friends and family that were pregnant. then found out i was pregnant again so i had to get all knew stuff. but then i held onto all of the clothes, and toys. then 2 years later i was pregnant again. so i needed new things lik a crib, walker, things like that. the best part was i had all boys, so clothes could be pasted down. LOL

I agree with the clothes and stuff. I intend to get as many hand me downs as possible when I get pregnant but I do want a nice pretty new swing just to spoil me :) But dont get carseats used. You never know if it has been in an accident. It may look fine, but could have hairline fractures that lessen the integrity of the seat.

The car seat that we have was new, it was a gift at my baby shower with my last daughter...

I couldnt find a used one that was in good shape...they often are in bad condition.

I would do that but with my son everything was given to me by my sisters so i didnt need to buy anything.with this one its my first girl so im buying everything new...shes gonna be so spoiled.

Yeah well...I've got some small longies that James fit in all of about 2 weeks that I'll be sending to you mama!  I'm getting a box ready.  What newborn stuff do you need?  I'll see what I have.

Most of my childrens clothes are bought at the used clothing store. or ar hand me downs. Not because we have to but because it is such a waste to buy it brand new when my son gets holes in the knees of all of his pants. I get alot of mine there too. I can get name brand that will last longer for cheaper than I can buy the cheap stuff at walmart. You go mama. You don't have to buy new. BUt I do agree with not buying carseats at the thrift store. It is kinda risky.

I saw your comments on the homeschool on a budget site and loved your little siggy pics "NO I'm not getting fixed obviously it's working" lol and the other one I can't remember I have four beautiful babies and another on the way so I'd love to know where you got those! Also, I thought you'd like to know there is a COOOL used everything mommy sale that goes on all over the country here's a web link to see where one is near you http://www.jbfsale.com and you can find one near you. They require a lot of stuff for car seats to be resold and other things too, plus if you wait until the last day of the sale in most you can get in for free and a bunch of stuff is up to 1/2 off the orginal 1/2 off new price :) I've even found stuff with the tags still on it there! :)
