Woohoo 1st money from ex-husband received right now

He came to pick up the kids at the crazy hour after work just now.

We had a tax bill from 3 or 4 years ago due November 2, 2009 before they took some serious action against us.

I asked him to help me pay but he kept ignorning my texts (we do not speak on phone, its that bad).

So, my mom volunteered to pay it and has been helping me pay some each pay period. But, I had used that money for other things and decided I would pay the bulk all at once at the end.

This week I paid $354 leaving me pretty broke. Mom didn't pay all of it but most.

So, today is laundry day and I don't have a penny to my name due to that bill and the others that are due at the 1st. I texted him to wash my 5 year old's coat if he goes to the laundrymat with the boys today. I went on about paying taxes and I will be lucky to scrape up one load of laundry money in the home. We live in an apartment and I don't have a washer and dryer. I do laundry weekly at laundrymat which is $7-$15 for the 5 of us. He texted back he only works weekends which I hope is not true!! I was like whatever and didn't respond.

When he picked up the boys 20 minutes ago he said here is $5. LMBO

Its funny that is the 1st money I have received from him (we divorce Sept 2) and I am grateful cuz I can get a few loads done with that and last until I am paid this week.

That $5 is about 100 times less than what he is ordered to pay but I am pretty happy right now and hope its a start to finally getting some sort of help HAHAHA.

oh my.. sis.. May Allah increase your provisions and help your ex to understand his obligation to his family.  ameen.  One thing is for sure...Allah provideds but sis.. never ever ever give your last for a bill and stay broke.. keep a few dollars..make it up some other time.

As salamu alaikum......sister......I do understand that Allah provides for us, and for that I am very grateful....but why his his pay-check not being garnished? He not only makes it very hard on you because of the hours he picks up his kids but he doesnt give you any thing to help provide for them....I would take him back to court...or at least call some one to find out how to make him pay....

Thank you. I have actually applied for child support enforcement. They said to give it 6-8 weeks to process.

I also get paid weekly for babysitting so it is ok that I paid off that debt. They were going to freeze our banks or doing something drastic :)
