My 14-year-old son, who got a diagnosis of Crohn's Disease last week, is doing much better. He had been literally starving to death, unable to eat a bite of solid food. Life has thrown a lot of curveballs my way, but nothing was ever worse than watching my child waste away in front of me.

But now ... the meds have kicked in, and it's made all the difference in the world. He's eating big healthy portions, which feels like a miracle. We hope he can add some weight to his bones over the next few weeks and months.

Thanks so much for all the love and good wishes. My CafeMom friends mean so much to me ...

xoxo

Glad to hear your son is on the mend!  You are right, there is nothing worse for a mother to watch her child be sick and feel completely powerless.

Many healing vibes coming to you and your family, Darling!

I'm so happy for him that he's feeling better.  Crohn's is terrible, but thankfully they have medication to help.

(((((Ellen))))))).

I'm so glad to hear he's doing better! Crohn's is one of those truly frustrating things to have, too. My aunt has it, and she's had a tough time with it, surgery and everything, so if meds and dietary changes help him, he's very fortunate.

So glad to hear that he is doing better. It must have been terrible for you to watch him so sick. Now you should cook all his favorite meals that he was missing out on. Keep us posted on how he is doing. Tell him we said hi and happy to hear that he is better, Marie.
