christmas with a challenge

this Christmas I'm looking at the possibility of getting my kids 1 gift each..let me tell you i have 4kids and I'm a single mother.the thought of just getting them one is very distressing because im use to getting them at least 5 each..their pretty expensive kids..not just toy's but phones, games, ipods etc... what can i do differently that will still make an impact on my kids other than a bunch of toys under the tree? any suggestions?

Maybe try to shift their focus to charity work this season? get them involved in a soup kichen or helping out with needy kids parties or something? Depending on their ages, maybe just sit them down and explain that they can each choose one thing they really want and go from there or give them each a budget you can work with and ask what they want in that price range?
