My first week of being a vegetarian has gone really well. The rules were - vegetarian for a whole month, bonus points for vegan days (try to get in 2 a week) - you are allowed 2 oopses in the month.
So far I have done my first week and I have done really well. I even got my 2 vegan days in - and it was almost 3 but I had ice cream today. I have been eating well too. Vegan pizzas, veggie burgers, lots of sushi etc. I have found my new fav sushi - pumpkin sushi and asparagus and avocado sushi; they are both so freaking good. The really nice thing about it is that they are WAY cheaper than the meat/fish sushi.
Today made it all worth while. It was 18 degress today (about 65 degress) after a week single digit temps, I figured I would wear a sun dress with a warm shawl. I put on my halter dress and it was too big on me. The last time I put it on it was almost to small. I jumped on the scale and I have lost 7lbs. I am very excited about that indeed.
This is making me want to keep this up and start doing even better than I have so far. 7lbs down and 40lbs to go. I have good hope this time.
