Options:

Potty training full force-switch to undies and deal with accidents.

slow and steady-kept the diapers on and slowly got the child to only use the potty

WOW!!!! Potty training is TOUGH!

So, I have begun Potty Training! I think it's been more trying on me than my daughter! LOL She had an early start, and yes, I promise even though she's 14 months, she has shown ALL the signs that she's ready! When she was around 9-10 months old we had a problem with her trying to poop in the bath tub cuz that usually came after a messy meal. So, since she is a very obvious pooper (grunts, turning red, squating, stopping any activity) I was able to watch for her signs and take her out of the tub and put her on the potty. We performed this entertaining act of a dripping wet baby being held over a potty quite often until she turned about 12 months old and started walking. I then got her a little potty for herself and quickly learned that she prefered the BIG potty, so the little potty got placed ontop of the Big Potty. Now, we are in full blown potty training! Today was all about the potty... I have to admit, I think my nerves are FAR more frazzled at the end of today than hers were.... as a matter of fact she seemed VERY happy and proud at the end of today! We wore Big Girl Undies all day (except nap time) and we had 2 accidents in the morning and from nap time on we haven't had an accident the rest of today! Not to mention her diaper was dry when she woke up this morning, and after both naps!!!! YAY!!!! Tomorrow is going to be tough cuz we have daddy home all day and we have errands to run in the afternoon, but it is wonderful to see that she is doing SO WELL! Along with the Big Girl Undies all day we also made a chart in the bathroom that gets check marks in each time frame for potty times. So, we went potty at each time: wake up, after breakfast, before nap, after nap, after lunch, before nap, after nap, after dinner and before bed! Although there's 9 times to have her sit on the potty we ended up with about 14 potty visits today! LOL She would get very excited and run to the potty and call for me so we went extra times and we had 2 poops and 2 pees in the potty! YAY!!!!! So, the week's gonna be as focussed on potty as possible and we will work as best as we can on keeping potty training going! Here's to less diapers and more Big Girl Potty!!!!!! YAY!!!!
