today i had to go by diapers, dh had the day off. anyways we all get in the car and go to the store. dh goes in with our dd whilei stay in the car with ds, next to me a car pulls up i look and i was stunned by what i saw, themom was holding her baby no more than 8 wks if that in the backseat, her carseat had no base it wasnt even anchort to the car, not even by a seatbelt. it wasnt ff, it wasnt rf. it was just thrown in there facing the window. as soon as they enter the store i got out of the car. i took a pic of the plate and callled the police. they transfer me to the unit that deals with carseat. i gave them adescription of the car and who was in it, gave them their plate number and what i had seen. they wanted me to stay at the store but i had a doctor's app. about 30 mts later i get a call from the patrol officer bythe time they got there they were gone. he did tell me they were gonna run the plates and thanks for the call, he also said something that made me mad, that everyday in the county i live they get alot of calls about babies not in carseats and alot of babies have died or been severly injured.
