I am hoping that my son is coming around a little. This weekend I gave him small tasks around the house. I have been trying to get him to assume some of the responsibility for helping out when he is with me. He lives with his dad and his dad has better luck with getting him to pull the weight. I told him I would give him ten dollars allowance for his help. He just got a job at McDonald's as a cashier, so this will teach him more about responsibility and money value. I tell him tthank You and that he did a good job. I am hoping that this is a start of a "good thing". Also he called me telling me he was out of drinks at home and I told him he will just have to wait till his dad gets home tonight from work and he didn't put up any fights. This is the child he was 2 years ago. Polite, respecting, helpful, and cooperative. I new that child was still in there somewhere. It is hard being a teen, last years of childhood before the real world hits and expectation/responsibility comes knocking at the door. Shocked but so proud to have his help and cooperation!!
