Box from home

Well, my mum sent us a box today. Her boxes are usually very interesting and often hold something out of the ordinary. She often forgets her grandkids are out of school or in their teen age years or she sends socks (always nice, but redundant). Anyway, this package seemed more normal. It held the usual comics (we don't get a Sunday paper and so mum sends us her comics..she gets two Sunday papers. Granted, last box we got some from May 2006...but, hey, they are fun to read!) and Halloween candy for my husband and a magazine on hunting for Jon. Well, my stuff was sewing stuff and a pair of socks.

We were almost done with dinner when I picked up the socks (they were at the far end of the table with the Halloween candy). I started to laugh. It appears that Haynes is making aroma therapy socks! Yes, you rub the socks and smell them!!! These ones are scented 'peace' or green tea. Boy, did that create a huge laugh. So, somehow wearing these socks will calm me...but, I cannot imagine the mix of old tennies (my tennies are scented with several years of wear) and green tea. They might be more of a bed sock, in that case (as my husband said) we will have peaceful sheets down by our feet. Isn't that an interesting idea? Aroma therepy comes in paint, dish soap, and now socks.
