My Sweet Girl may need glasses!

So today I found out that my little sweetie Makenna has to see an eye specialist because her a problem in her left eye and her eye muscles aren't moving together (definitely sounds likes glasses are in her future). I immediately made the appointment for the eye specialist, so her appointment is 12-4-09. Ever since I found out I've been really anxious, and I know I don't need to be worrying myself. I'm just curious too know if any of you ever experienced this situation with your children at such a young age and how did you child adapt to wearing glasses at a young age? I'm not concerned about any kids teasing her because I teach my children to be confident in whatever it is that comes along. Thanks in advance for your comments :)

My 2 yr old has Optic Nerve Chiasm Glioma, and has to take Chemo every week, because of these tumors she has lost vision that is not fixable in her left eye, she has scaring on her optic nerves, so she wears glasses, she loves them, she keeps them on matter of fact she ask to put them on.
When she wakes up she says mommy me glasses, and she leaves them on till she takes a nap. It helped alot that she got to choose the frames.
Just let he pick her frames, they also make strapes that will hold them on their head if she doesn't like to wear them.
Thanks Ladies so much for the advice! I'll let her pick her frames but I think she'll love her glasses because she always trying to put mine on lol.

It must be tough to deal with medical issues with little ones. As for the glasses, I'm sure she will be fine with them. I've seen older babies wearing them. They make a little velcro strap to keep them from falling off and they looked very cute. I can't tell you not to worry because she is your baby but I'm sure she will be ok and things will work out! Good luck and hang in there Momma.
