Hey All!!!

I have been so heartbroken about the poverty of others, I feel led to do something this year for Christmas

Kids are brainwashed every year to think they NEED the best new toy out there- THis is a scam. The media is polluting our children's minds making them think they are not "good enough" because they don't have this super -cool -awesome _______"whatever toy"

(Much like they do to us women, also)

I encourage you to get your children involved in charity work. Take them to a Soup kitchen, wrap a shoe box for operation Christmas child, or get involved with "Goats for Gifts".

I started "Goats for Gifts" after I picked up on a theme with children in poverty: when these kids get extra money sent to them (via Compassion, World Vision, etc) They do not buy toys or candy - They will buy something useful for their family like a goat

 why a goat?

Goats can thrive in extreme climates and on poor, dry land by eating grass and leaves. The gift of a dairy goat can supply a family with up to several quarts of nutritious milk a day. Extra milk can be sold or used to make cheese, butter or yogurt. Families learn to use goat manure to fertilize gardens. Because goats often have two or three kids a year, families can begin to lift themselves out of poverty by starting small dairies that earn money for food, health care and education.

What I want to do this year is to substitute gifts (even if it is just 1 gift) and  instead buy a goat . And all this can be done in the name of someone you love (brother sister, mom, dad, children, ....whomever). We will send you a card and then you can send this card to the person whose name you donated it in.
