Mp3 downloads

Okay computer savy mom's out there I am in need of some help.  Recently my DH went out and bought me and Mp3 player and it's supposed to play video. However I am having problems putting a DVD/video on it. I spoke with a person from sears and they said that all the videos that you buy can't be downloaded on them cause they have blocks on them.  You actually have to download movies from the web.  So, I was wondering what sites you use, how much do you pay for it, and does any one know of any downloadable sites for free?

I don't know what MP3 player you have but you can download movies to watch on iTunes. I'm not sure if it's compatable with anything but an iPod but you could find out. Their movies are $14.99 to buy and you can also rent them. Hope you figure something out!
