I have a new respect for women who have no pain meds by choice when giving birth! Isabell is here!

I started having mild contractions on the 10th. Mostly my back would ache for a few seconds then stop. So I went to bed at 10:30. Around probably 3 they started waking me up. I was too tired to see how far apart they were. At 5:52am I wrote that one down. After that I wrote them all down just so I could keep up. They were all over the place. We finally headed to the hospital around 11. On the way I had 2. One at 11:02 then 11:24. Once we got in I had two more before they got me to a room for observation. I was hooked up to the fetal monitor and they checked to see how I was dialated. 12 noon I was a 4. That's when I started having them regularly every two minutes! And they hurt like crazy. At 12:50 I called the nurse and told her I wasn't going to be able to be still during the contractions anymore. She came in and checked my cervix again and I was at a 5. So they admitted me. During being admitted I don't remember having but a few contractions. They hooked me up to the iv bc I wanted an epidural. At 1:20 my fav nurse checked me and broke the bad(only bc I really wanted it) and good news. I was dialated to a 7 progressing fast to a 9. The bad news I wasn't getting that epidural. She came back a few minutes later and told me I couldn't have any pain meds because the baby would be zonky. I was hurting so bad and scared about no pain meds I told her "the baby doesn't need to be alert. Oh duh yeah she does". My dr came in and told me he was going to break my water. I was scared bc I knew baby would come soon after that(on the brightside I also knew the pain would stop). My DH came back in the room(he had been outside the hospital making phone calls) and the dr broke my water. That pain was oh so much more freaking bad once he broke my water. I just thought it was bad before. I screamed during the next contraction and my favorite nurse told me I had to be quite during the contractions. I knew she was right but I started to scream during the next one but my mom got in my face and told me I was going to hurt the baby so of course I clamped my mouth shut. I just thought my last labor was crazy painful. She made her entrance thankfully into this world at 1:48pm. Isabell Emilelynn weighed 6lbs 7oz and 19 1/2 in long. I am glad to have her here but I never want to have to go natural again! I was going to have my tubes tied anyway the no pain meds delevery just makes sure I do it lol TO ALL MOMS WHO DO THE NO MEDS BY CHOICE ya'll are ONE TOUGH COOKIE!

Congratulations!!!!! So happy that (while painful) your labor went safely!!! Big hugs to you and your little girl, you go mom!
