Well things have been totally nuts the last few weeks I don't even know where to start.....
Me and Baby: We are good. I'm 26 weeks and except for a cold that won't go away I've been feeling good. Tired all the time but I think that's from packing. I wish I knew when I was having another ultrasound so I could invite my mom to go with me one last time before I move away. Other than that I've put on 4lbs in 2 weeks so my OB wants me to retake the gestational diabetes test on the 23 along with a ton of blood work...which totally sucks because I have to go alone and last time I was soooo sick when I got done.
Tim: Tim is doing great. When I sent him a belly pic he got really upset that he has missed so much. He has been gone for 8 weeks so he has missed alot of my pregnancy and that fact is really getting to him. He will be flying in on Nov 25 at 2:30 and I CAN"T WAIT TO SEE HIM. He alreay told me that he was not letting me go once he saw me. He got a full time permanent offer to stay working in SC so we will be moving on the 28.
Moving: Yup I'm moving again. This will be the 4th time in a year and a half :( its getting old too. Since Tim got the full time offer we decided that it was the best thing for me to move back to SC to be with him. I have already found a midwife that I think will be a good match. Its at the same practice T used when I was in SC last time. They have a mix of different OBs (which I have my old OB as a fall back if something major happens) and Midwives so I picked one and if we aren't a match I can see any other one with no problems. I am also looking for a doula there too. I'm down to 2 from e-mail and phone conversations and all I have to do is call them when I get to SC to set up meetings to see which one I mesh with.
Its gonna suck moving so far away because I'm really not going to have the help and support that we were hoping for (which is why we moved back to LA in the first place). I hate the fact that I won't be able to just call my mom and ask her to come over to give me a hand. Tim's mom and step dad will be living close to us till they retire sometime next summer and its a catch 22 with them. I can talk to Tim's mom about anything but there are some things I don't think I'm going to want to talk to her about. His parents will also respect our wishes.requests more than I think my mom would. His parents are the type of people that won't show up unless we call and ask them to and when we are ready for them to leave they leave. My mom would stay to help...weather I wanted it or not...
ok I'm sorry this got longer than I thought...I'm sure I missed some stuff so if you want to know more just ask...I think I'm going take a nap because I'm still all stuffy. *hugs*
Im on the same page as you with the never ending COLD! it sucks and is sooooo annoying! Awww that has to be hard moving 4 times in a year,. I know the feeling i went from florida to NC to Jersey back to NC for a while and now back in Jersey alone without AJ.. as you know he is in Georgia and will be there for god knows how long! anyways Im really glad that everything is working out and that Tim go a full time position that is awesome!!!! Make sure you switch yoru address on your registary for the baby for when I send a gift it goes to the right place!!! LOL.. well i hope everything else is good! CANT WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING!!! AJ will be home on the 25th too!!! LOL...
Congrats to Tim on the job!!! I am so excited for him! Glad everything is going well with the little peanut! I gained 5lbs in a few weeks at one point then didnt gain much for awhile, so it happens. Dont worry about it too much. First my Dr freaked about my weight gain then freaked cause I only gained ounces in a few weeks. Your body will just gain whats needed! I wish you the best with the move and the new baby! I am so excited to hear the news of you having your little one!
Are they making you retake the gestational diabetes test for any other reason than weight gain? I've put on about 8 lbs. in 4 weeks during the pregnancy and they have yet to comment on it. I'm almost 31 weeks and at my 29 week appointment I had already gained about 24 lbs, which they never made a deal about.
Lebrbria: I had my first GD done at 17 weeks and they want to recheck it at 28 weeks but they are really pushing me to retake it because I;ve gained 4lbs in 2 weeks which was really out of the "norm" for me. At my 26 week appointment I was up 17lbs so far (I was 120 when I started out)
Hmm. I was about 106 (I think) when I got pregnant. I've been gaining about 2 lbs. a week since sometime in my 2nd trimester. I think I've gained about 26 lbs. so far and I'm 31w1d. But that's just me. How were your numbers from the first GD test?
my ob never gave me the numbers just told me they look good. thats the one thing i really don't like about my ob but with me moving in less than 2 weeks i dont feel like fighting him on getting the numbers
