There are just only a few things I never foresaw effecting my life while becoming a Work At Home Mom:
1. Cleaning my toilets before a boss visit.
2. The shear volumn of cat hair collecting on my desk daily.
3. Listening to Ylena snore.
4. Going to work and having to move a pink fluffy puppies, blocks, and DVDs off my desk to work.
5. Complementing cooking fresh cookies for my boss when he comes in the door. "Welcome to my happy peaceful work environment, please keep me off the chopping block, freshly baked snickerdoodle?'
6. Having to have Lowell as a 'co-worker' and ask him to listen to his movie critic videos with ear phones.
7. Work during the quietest, most peaceful time of day at our house when everyone - including the cats- are sleeping.
8. Listen to Lowell and Evelyn play upstairs and wish I could join them. 'ROAR' says daddy, as Evelyn screams and runs.
9. Throwing loads of laundry in on breaks.
10. Avoid going upstairs so Evelyn won't get excited and dissappointed when I need to return downstairs.
And I am so happy to experience all of these things, a short commute, a continuous paycheck, and more flexibility. I feel extremely blessed.
