My First Fake Bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle!

See how there is more bottle than actual perfume?- look at the bottom of the bottle, it's so thick! The real bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle doesn't have such thickness at the bottom like that. Also, see how the Coco label is centered? It should be more near the top of the bottle NOT centered! Now, look at the double c's on the bottle's top. It's not centered AT ALL! The top is straight and even, however the "back-to-back" c's are not.

The box is okay- of course!

My First Fake/Scam of Chanel Mademoiselle

I always buy Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Perfume. It is a hell of a lot of money, but it is well worth it- the perfume that is, NOT the eu de toilet spray! Anyhow I love it because it has a nice, unforgettable scent. The scent is floral and very gentle and romantic. It's very hard to explain. It's unlike no other perfume- EVER! The perfume lasts up to 8 hours, not the eu de toilet spray, which lasts around 2 hours, that's why it costs much more. I sell on eBay all the time and I buy at time too. I won a bid for this perfume in the 3.4 fl oz. size.

I was so happy when it arrived in it's priority box. I opened it and guess what the fuck I saw? I saw a bottle with water in it! Pretty much! I have been buying this perfume for years and I know what's what.

I saw a super thick bottle with a very watery fluid inside (colored water), the signature double c was misaligned, there was NO "r" (for registered trade mark) next to the name Chanel on the bottom of the bottle, the bottle top is like a strong plastic NOT glass and it did not smell like the perfume AT ALL! Not even close.

Luckily I used Paypal to make the payment and it was also covered 100% including shipping. This is very important when buying anything online. Always use paypal and make sure the item is covered 100%. On eBay, it'll say whether or not the item is covered- if the seller doesn't cover it through paypal- DO NOT BUY! I use this rule when purchasing things of value such as electronics, jewelry and other expensive items.

I sent the fake shit :-)) back via priority mail w/ delivery confirmation! And now I'm waiting for my refund. I took pictures of it too. The seller is telling me she didn't know and she didn't really care for the scent and so therfore she didn't know if it was fake or not. That may be true, we may both be victims- however, it's up to the seller to correct this with me, even though she unknowingly sold me a fake bottle of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle.

Remember to ask the seller for close up, good and clear pictures. If they don't want to, don't buy.

 

**UPDATE**

I have received a complete refund and seller also refunded the return shipping, which most sellers do not do. I am never gonna purchase online again. It's just not worth the trouble and time spend sending it back and whatnot. I'm just gonna pay full price in the stores or try to hunt for sales on this perfume- which is probably rare.

I'm so disappointed. I love this perfume with a passion and now I have to spend $115.00 or more to get the real deal Mademoiselle! Oh well I gotta do what I have to do! Maybe I'll put it on my Christmas list for my husband to get!

I just did the same exact thing...Dummy me!!! I even asked the chick if it was authentic...! I knew it was too good to be true! Anyhow, you have some excellent information here regarding the fake bottle...I was comparing as I was reading and everything you posted was true!! Also, the gold around the pump is worn away...!! Well, this seller promises a 7 day money back guarantee...So, I'm going to write her now...Thank you so much for the info!!! Hey, btw FragrenceNet.com has great perfume and coupon offers. They have "Mademoiselle" for cheap but, it's usually sold out for that reason too...Thanks again!

Nov. 22, 2011 at 11:37 AM I hope you at least have a somewhat honest or decent seller who will refund your money. Some sellers try to be a pain by asking YOU to verify that it's fake, so you then have to go around to perfume shops asking someone to put in writing the authenticity of the perfume. If they try that, just open a dispute w/ eBay and send them a long response explaining in detail how the seller listed an fake item. eBay is really trying to cut down on sellers who sell fake items! Good Luck...you'll be fine!
