Two dinners

Yesterday I went online to find a yummy recipe to make for dinner.  The kids helped, we even made a cake together.  Hubby came home early from work and we all waited hungrily for dinner to be done.  We all sat down at the table and with my first bite it hit me...it was 6:13pm Thursday and we were supposed to be at a friends house for dinner at 6 that night!  What a dork! I felt so stupid to have forgotten, especially when the friend was just over at my house the day before and reminded me about the dinner.  So we jumped up from the table, got on our boots and coats and went out for dinner.  I made my hubby promise not to say anything..I felt so dumb!  It was hard when they asked us why we were late, what we did during the day, lol, but they never knew.  When we got home we had a good laugh about having two dinners and Im sure hubby will not forget this anytime soon!  Oh well, I dont have to cook dinner tonight! LOL
