Some people say my hubby and I spend too much money on our girls for Christmas, so I am curious how much you all spend on your children.  I know the economic situation has caused many to rethink their budgets.  What did you spend before this crunch and now.  I just want to see if we are going overboard.  I will say my amount later.  Thanks for your input on my little Christmas poll.

i do a lot of couponing and frugal shopping, so due to that i usually dont spend more than $50 out of pocket for my youngest. i usually have earned gift cards etc from stuff i did during the year.

For my 2 year old we are getting him a race track with extra cars to go with it, a stocking full of goodies, and a couple of outfits.  So far I've spent about $30, but I still have to get his outfits and a few more stocking stuffers.  My guess is that I'll spend about $50 on him this year.  That amount will probably increase when he gets bigger and wants bigger things.

I think it's great that you can spend so little, I spend substantially more. Oviously I haven't mastered the frugal thing entirely, Though I thought I was pretty frugal already!

yeah..I'm not good at the frugal thing either, although my hubby probably wishes I was.  Ithink I spend way too much at Christmas on my girls (12yrold and 8yr old).  I guess I get carried away.  I just want to get them those things on their wish list and they are soooooo grateful for anything.  I think that's why I go a little overboard.
