Every once in a while I start thinking about something and I just have to write about it. I'm lucky. I have, quite possibly, the world's greatest husband.

A little background: I have been married almost three years, My husband and I have two children of our own and guardianship of our nephews(my side). I am completely type A personality. I'm VERY picky about how I like things done. I (try not to) expect my house to stay clean with five children but I'm always fussing over something. I'm constantly wiping the floor because someone dropped(probably only one drop) of juice and the floor is sticky. I am constantly moving every chair out of my dining room so that I can sweep and mop. Half of the time I don't get a chance to move them back because I have to nurse. Can you believe that after two kids in less than two years I still can't mop the floor while I nurse?I'm beginning to think it isn't possible or I'd have found a way gosh darn it! I'm constantly rolling up the rug and putting it somewhere so that I can vacuum, the floor only gets vacuumed half of the times I roll up the rug. I'm constantly being a neurotic little whack-a-doodle!  Today I actually managed to finish mopping all of the floors. It's a miracle!  Too bad I didn't get dinner made...

Now, what does this have to do with my husband? Well, let me tell you, my husband never pressures me to clean; he is constantly telling me "You have five kids, the house won't look like it did before". He puts up with my neuroses and the fact that I can't always finish the project I start on a given day and is still encouraging and supportive. He never gets mad that I wasn't able to make dinner(which happens a couple of times a month) or that our laundry is always last to be done. So long as the house is reasonably clean and he has some clean clothes and some food he is perfectly content. I suppose I can attribute his kindness to the fact that he is an easy-going guy... I'll tell you though, if I had a housewife as crazy as me I'd be divorced!

Your Husband sounds like mine. He does not care really. I on the other hand have picked up his bad habit of procrastination, lol. But, when I set my mind to something, it gets done. Thanks for sharing Momma :)

I could have written this post! I have been going through a self struggle with this lately.....with 4 children in the house, I feel I still must have a perfectly spotless house, but it makes me crazy! I am constantly stressing that it isn't clean enough! I seriously need to learn how to relax and let it be. My hubby is always saying things like "Yes it's messy...we LIVE in it!" I just can't come to terms with the fact that a house that looks 'lived in' is a good thing! Our hubby's are much alike...mine never complains of a messy house. He helps me sometimes if  Istress about it too much, or he will also have the kids help me out a little more than normal so that it is a group effort! That is the best feeling ever!
