She told him I would take about 20 minutes. It took about 50 minutes because I have scolosis( curved spine), because she couldn't find the right spot. She stuck me about 10 time with the numbing needle and the epiderual needle until found the right spot. The epiderual really didn't make me very numb even after 2 hours. I could still maove my legs and feet. My abdomen my was numb after 3hrs. The dr came and removed the cerclage. I could feel the cold instrument to open my cervix, but didn't feel him pull it out.My cervix was open about 1 cm. After another hour, potoecin was started. The procedure was three hours of potoecin then 1 hour rest then start the cycle again with an increased level of potency of potoecin.
After the first cycle- no contractions. After the second cycle, i felt some pressure and wass 4 cm. After the third cycle , I felt more pressure and was 6 cm. The dr said I would deliver at 7 cm. I went 1 more cycle and it was time. I had no more cervix.
They set me up to deliver and told me to breathe and push. After 3 pushes Oluwaseum( means I thank you God) Tokunboh( husband's middle name) Akintunde was born. He was born 7 ounces and 8 1/4 inches. I didn't hear a sound. My husband and my friends gathereed around him and smiled. He was born stillborn. The dr put him on a towel. Meanwhile, I successfully pushed the placenta out. If i didn't I would have to go to the OR for a D n C to clean out my uterus.
Then I saw my son. he has so little and very handsome. He had finger nails! I could see his muscles(flexed bicep). I was happy to see him even though he wasn't breathing. We prayed for him, thanked God for him, gave Oluwaseum to God openly. After that the nurse took him and took pictures of him, measured him, and footprinted him. They brought the pictures, measurement, and prints back in a white box with some other things( blanket, gown, bracelet, etc.).

i am so so sorry. i will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
