Last night when I went to pick up Heidi from school, I walked into the room to see her being escorted in from the play ground by one of the teachers, another child, and a very bloody face.

Heidi and the other child ran into each other, nose to nose.  They both had bloody noses and were very up set.

After getting the bleeding to stop, some hugs, and a popsicle they both were all better.

The garbage can was full of bloody kleenex and paper towels, their jackets and mittens were covered, any the teachers used half a container of wipes to clean up the floor and chairs.

Last night her nose looked like it was going to turn blue but only had a scratch on the bottom of her nose this morning.

It's amazing how much blood two little four year old noses can put out!

And her teacher said "in my 30 years of teaching, I have never had to kids hit nose to nose.  Nose to forehead, sure.  Nose to chin, yes.  But nose to nose?  They must have been aiming for each other!"

Oh no!  I'm glad she was alright.  It sounds pretty traumatic.  (Good thing I wasn't present or I probably would have passed out!  lol)
