Tumor clinic results are in

Well we got our results today, the news is not good. Adrienne's tumor is growing even more rapidly than first believed. WE now have to choose between a third brain surgery and radiation treatments.

Both will cause memory loss and cognitive issues. Surgery has the added risk of many things..paralysis, infection, hydrocephalus,personalty change, more vision impairment, difficulty swallowing, loss of speech. It is not guaranteed that surgery will be successful enough to avoid radiation in the future.

Needless to say, we are choosing radiation. The radiation will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Adrienne and I will have to stay out in Buffalo, most likely will be missing Christmas with our family. I am not sure when they be starting but her doctors want a decision by the end of the week so I am assuming that it will be very soon. I will let you ladies know for sure when as soon as I know.

I'm so sorry...but, I'm also very thankful they can do something to try and help Adrienne. I hope if you all do have to stay in Buffalo that there will be some way you can celebrate Christmas with the family.  Thank you for letting us know what is going on....please  know that we all are saying a prayer!

Lisa, our thoughts and prayers will be with you, during this time. I hope that her radiation treatments will not be difficult for her and you will get the amazing results of hearing the tumor is no longer growing. We will be with you in spirit.
