DSS just left my house..

My mother & stepfather called them because they are no longer involved in our lives.

But, this is what happened:

The lady came over and read the allegations. They were that: my dh & I never had a job (complete b.s., we both work), my dd is "delayed" (also b.s., my dd is 19 mo.-can feed herself, take her clothes off & help you put them on, can walk, talk, understand what people are saying, can tell you what she would like or not like, tell you some colors, and can count a little bit), that we do drugs (which is also crap, we agreed to take a drug test on monday), & that we go out and party all the time (don't know how we would do that when we lived 2 hrs. from our family & that's the only people we let watch our child).

But she looked at our dd and said there is no way she is any type of delayed. Also, she said the house looked great and there was more than enough food. She said before leaving that she might come back one more time but that would be it.

I just hate that we will have a case open with DSS for the next five years just because my mother and stepfather are pissed at me. It's completely ridiculous.

I thought that if people made false aligations that they would be charged with false reporting???  

I am glad everything was ok and  good for you.. Don't let them stress you out. So g'parents get crazy like that when they have lost out on being with children or grandchildren.   Good luck and take care..

Yeah, there has to be something I can do about them filing a false report. I told the DSS lady the situation and I'm going to wait until after they get my drug results before I ask them what I can do. I want them to completely find the case "unfounded" before I do anything. [i already know that will be the outcome]

It's crazy how some people will do anything to cause drama. 

I'm sorry that your going through this... But as the woman who came out to investigate said, she MIGHT come back.. I doubt that she does!  I'm sure she could see that your child(ren) are loved and well taken care of..

Mind me asking, why was your mom and step dad mad about that they took it a whole new level and fild a report?   Sorry I'm just curious!

My mother has done nothing but screw me over since I came out of her.. She put icing on the cake by saying she didn't care about my dd & I told her I wanted nothing more to do with her. They got pissed and called DSS. My mother is really physciotic [excuse the spelling].
