Busted! Better not run through a stopped bus where I live! Update!!

This morning while putting my kids on the bus.  There was a lady who at first stopped for the bus.  Well all the kids were on the bus, but the lights were still on the kids were still sitting down.  I guess she must have thought it was ok to go because she went right through the stop sign, flashing lights, and the bar.  Well we know who she is, so we wrote down her license plate number and gave the bus driver her name and address. Needless to say she will be getting a fine in the mail.

So just remember that if you live near me and got through the stopped bus you will not get away with it.

Here is an update:  Gave the bus driver her info and the driver called it in as soon as I handed it over.  I saw some cops down there so I think she got the message.

Even though my kids don't ride the bus I sit outside in the morning and make sure all the kids get on and off the bus safely. In the afternoons I keep an eye out but not so much as there is almost no traffic then. It irritates me that people do this. Just this month the buses actually started stopping in the middle of the road because of this.

On my way to word each morning I drive down a road that is 2 lanes on both sides.  There is a townhouse complex where loads of kids are waiting for the bus on the opposite sides of my route.  It seems that some people on my side (north side) don't feel it necessary to stop as they are 2 lanes away?  I've even been honked at for stopping!!  A few mintues last to wherever you are going is worth paying attention to the law...  I should keep a notepad in my car for such moments.  ;-)

Good for you! My FIL drives bus and has turned in too many people already this year, and has also been to court twice because of 2 people who disputed it - needless to say they were in the wrong! My dad also used to be a sub driver and turned in more people for that in one semester than all the drivers for the school (7, I believe) did in one year!
