My darling J.R.,

 

I can’t promise that you'll never feel pain…but I will promise to show you how to heal.
I can’t promise you that fear won’t paralyze you at times but I will promise to teach you courage.
I cannot promise that you will always get your way, but I will promise you that the way it is,will always work itself out.
I cannot promise that life will be effortless and the things you want will come easily, but I will promise to teach you perseverance.
I cannot promise you that your mind won’t spin you in circles at times but I will promise to teach you how to move forward again.
I can’t promise you that everything will always be alright but I can promise you that I will always be there for you to teach you…
To love you…
To guide you…
To see you… 
To hear you..
And nourish you.
I promise to teach you commitment for you are my son and you have already taught me all these things, you have shown me happiness in its purest form and I promise from the depth of my soul that I will graciously strive to give you the blessing that you have given to me.
