Blaise POV
Just the sight of her bounding down the stairs in the tiny blue velour shorts made we want to grab her to convince her to stay home. Home was a dangerious place to be when all I could think about was wrapping her lean legs around me. Wrapping her legs around me was not possible. This was why we were leaving the house. Keeping busy a neccesity.
Smiling, I supressed all the normal urges that kept us running late anywhere we were expected. Holding onto her waist outside of her little blue hoodie I let my hand form to the curve of her small figure telling her, "I'm glad you're wearing a jacket. It's cool outside. Aren't your legs going to get cold?"
Her fingers played at the base of my neck as her body leaned against me a little more. A vision played in my mind of her soft skin pressed again...... no... no... no..... not going to go there. Pulling my mind out of the eroginious off limit zones, I focused on her telling me, "We'll be running, I'm sure I'll be hot. Are you gonna hang out with Marcus?"
Rubbing her side, I reminded myself, I wasn't going running with her because ever bounce of her assets as her feet rolled off the pavement, body moving like poetry in motion.... see what I mean? There was still a month of resisting temption before the wedding. "Yeah." I answered. "Catching up with the Troll Wolf."
"Don't sound so excited," Sara's lips were like the petal of a rose on my jaw. Her nose trailed softly down my neck making me moan as my mind once again to dark, very sexy places. The light moan she vibrated against my neck made me smile knowing her mind was going there to. It made me feel good to know this wasn't easy on her either - she wanted me as much as I wanted her. Our lips pressed together, her reaching on her toes to kiss me harder. Pulling back, I cut us both off from going any further. "Yeah.... it's time to go...." Taking her hand, I took one last look over her perfect body shaking my head: twenty six days to go. "Come on," I told her, leading her next door to Peni's.
Laughing with a moan she was pulling herself away from the same thoughts I was saying, "Yeah...running...lots of running."
Marcus POV
The kids were all content, Deni, Nevi and Jaki running around the yard, the quads were in the house with Lisa and Rose, while Bliss commanded Wayne's attention all to herself. I sat outside on the porch pack style, enjoying a cup of coffee listening to J leaning against the rail telling me about how 'cinnoman' had almost caught him with 'bebe'. I couldn't help but laugh as I tried to explain that these things would not happen if he would just stick to one woman. Or at least one woman at a time. I knew it was useless, my words were falling on deaf ears, but a guy had to try.
Sara came up the stairs with Blaise at her side, a grin on her face as she asked, "Is Peni ready?" I smiled back, remembering Peni's explanation that Sara wanted them to go running, have some girl time. I knew this probably meant time talking about Blaise and I, but since I was sure Peni would come back and tell me anything good that got said, I was game.
"Yeah" I leaned my chair back to push the door open, calling in to Peni, "Hey babe, Sara's here"
"Yeah, I'm coming." Her sweet voice yelled from inside and I turned my attention to the group on the porch, grinning at the smile J was giving Sara.
"Nice day for a run." Jalil said to her, his eyes raking over her body as she slipped off her jacket, leaving her in what looked to me like a bra and some shorts. Suddenly I was concerned about what Peni was wearing, I knew Sara had bought it.
Blaise rolled his eyes at the limited clothing, shooting J a look of warning as Sara bent forward to stretch before the run began, asking with her head by her knee's, "Whose on gaurd duty today?"
Watching J's eyes brighten, his smile at Blaise, I couldn't fight back a laugh as he answered, "Me and Shawn." glancing across the street to see Shawn and several other pack guys lounging on the porch.
Sara popped a leg up onto the porch rail, he fingers touching her toes as she looked at J,"Sounds good to me" He flashed me that smile that said exactly what was on his mind and I laughed again, hoping he remembered the rules.
All thought left my mind asPeni bounced out wearing an outfit just as little as Sara's the only difference being hers was pink instead of blue. "Hey, Mama! You ready?"
Sara stood, leaning over to place as kiss on Peni's cheek,"Hey, I am always ready for you"
And while normally, I would at least try to encourage that, at this moment I was thinking of ways to make it so less of my wife was on display as she bounced around town, "Baby, don't you wanna put on a tank top?"
"Awww... baby." she leaned over, giving me a kiss and I saw just how short those shorts were, "You're so cute. I'm good." her finger trailed over my bare chest as she raised a brow, "But if your cold you can put one on."
She headed down the stairs and into the yard, Sara and Jalil following behind her, J waving to Shawn to come join them. I laughed again, seeing Tony, Davy, and CD run over with them. Bunch of horndogs. Shaking my head, I reminded myself. "I guess they've seen her in less" shakes his head.
Blaise POV
"Now see, this is protection." Sara laughed looking at the extra Pack members that decided gawking at my half naked fiance was more fun that watching TV. They were right, but that thought offered me little comfort. She added, "It's like I get my own secret service."
"NO SECRET SERVICES!!!" Marcus called out, taking the words right out of my mouth. Peni laughed starting to run, Sara beside her, as the guys gave them just enough head start so they could get nice backside views. Anthony called back, "We got this."
"That's what I was afraid of. " I said to Flint. Laughing, the five Pack stooges all started took off with them. For a moment I weighed in my mind which was more risky, my physical reaction to watching Sara's form as she worked her body, or them. It was too late to change things now. Sitting on the porch by Flint, I knew things would play out a bit different next time.
Peni POV
All I could so was chuckle inside. Only two were assigned to guard Sara. With me here, there was no need for so many extra. But it entertained them. And it pissed off Blaise. In the end it worked out.
"Whole new meaning to I got your back" Sara laughed shaking head as the guys jogged behind us. Then she asked, "So, when's the house going to be put back together? So, you know bringing down the house is just an expression right?"
The last of our bruises from Marcus and my... uhm..... experiment, healed yesterday. The pipes were fixed. The tile was being repaired today. Then we could return the keys to the renter. It was so worth it. "Says you." I told her. "I say something completely different."
"I heard!" Sara looked over at Jalil running behind us saying, "Your sister is a freak."
I had half a mind to through up the rock sign with a, "Hell yeah." Jalil answered for me, "It runs in the family."
"No means no J," Sara rolled her eyes as she blews him a kiss and turned forward. "Apparently the whole 'womanizer' thing did no good," she told him.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just on guard here." Jalil laughed knowing full well as long as she was blowing kisses - what am I talking about - as long as she was breathing, he was still going to give his sexy laugh and inch over those boundaries.
"But it was hot, everyone had to admit." I turned backwards running. "They all got the play by play when Marcus went on patrol the next day."
"TMI, sis. TMI." Jalil pointed out.
"And way too much informtion for your three." I pretended to lecture while still running backward. "Take a lesson from Sara and wait till your married. True love waits." Turning around I gave Sara a grin as she flipped me off.
"See, it's things like that that almost make me wish I was pack." Sara said one her happy finger was put away. "I never get to see the good stuff."
"Forget seeing." I teased her. "Doing is so much more fun."
"I have to agree wih that." Jalil agreed, as did the other guys.
Sara POV
Groaning, I begged, "Please people, come on! I'm running to stop thinking about sex, not get visuals about what I'm missing!" We were only a week into it and it was already killing me, I wanted him every minute of everyday. Gawd, I was insane.
CD looked at me quizically, "Don't you have three kids?" Peni giggled as I flicked him off too. It was a free for all party with my middle finger and everybody was invited.
Peni was perplexed, "No sex. We can talk about...... uhmmmm......."
I laughed, knowing with Peni and I, that left our converstations very limitied, "It's nice out today"
Peni grinned, "Brilliant weather we're having."
"Yeah, Great Hallow provides excellent scenery," Shawn added with a sigh
"That's for sure" Tony added as Jalil laughed.
Turning to look at them, I saw J's gaze locked firmly on my rear, rolling my eyes I asked, "Do you all need to come up here?"
CD replied, "The view is excellent from here."
"Gives us better advantage to watch over you." Jalil added. Peni and I both shook our heads, laughing at thier banter as we turned back around.
Running past the Nighstand, I saw the boys outside giving them a wave. As we passed them I heard, "eine meinie minie moe" before Aarom yelled,, "Dammit"
I laughed when Reg, Dylan, and Mario jogged up behind us, grinning as they called out "Hey"
Grinning, knowing Peni was going to be mentally undressed for awhile, I called back, "Hey boys"
"What's up's" some of the pack guys responded.
Reg laughed and I glanced behind me to see his eyes exactly where I thought they'd be as he toosed out a "Nice"
J shared a dog's grin with him, saying "Nice day for a run."
Reg chuckled,"I'm all about getting in shape!"
"Nothing better than some cardio" Dylan added as Mario laughed
I rolled my eyes, looking over at Peni, determined to pretend the whole lot of them wasn't there.
Peni POV
It was best, in my mind, to pretend we hadn't just picked up new stragglers. Ignoring the chatter from behind us I asked Sara, "So... what's new in your chaste side of the world?"
Sara's middle finger popped back up. Reg made a comment about that being one well worked part of her, drawing her middle fingers attention to him. But she answered, "I swear, everyday is a flurry of activity. We get up in the morning and Blaise has something planned so we are out and about until we come home exhausted."
"To sleep." I sighed. "Awwww.... you both are so sweet. Is it driving you crazy yet? Or is it a good thing?"
Laughing she told me "It's got it's upsides and it's downs. On the one hand, it's alot more time talking and playing around and just being together, we're both making that extra effort to cover what we're not doing." The she grinned. I knew that grin. I used it often. "On the other hand, Blaise came out of the gym the other day in his workout shorts, covered in sweat, body looking....I mean, you see where this is going right?"
"Oh, I hear you..." I reflected her grin. "You had me at ups."
Right on cue, I got the one finger salute. "Now, now..." I teased. "Not till the wedding."
Then she stuck her tongue out at me, while we laughed. Changing the subject I told her, "I talked to your Dad yesterday. Sam and I went over to bring him some new information."
"My dad rocks...," she said absent mindedly. Then she asked more serious, "Information?"
That's when I filled her in on the results of all the Spirit Travel I'd been doing since the photograph showed up. "I've been working since the last meeting to try to track down through Em and her girls connections to members of Sebastian's family. It was hard. Like Caleb, Sebastian's tie was severed." For a moment, I paused not sure if that would be hard for her to hear. At one point she was pretty close to him. "It doesn't mean he's dead. I don't know. It could just means he's cut the tie."
Sara took a deep breath, "Sebastain...a person I truely wish I'd never meet. I'd never wish him harm though...." For as second we were quiet before she asked, "Were you able to find anything else?"
"Luckily there was a small tie Em had to Seb and Caleb's Great Uncle. He has giving them some family heirlooms when they first got married. They still exchange Christmas cards. So from him I was able to trace some of their family members. I gave your Dad a list of addresses to check out. Hopefully one of them will turn a lead."
Then I told her the information we found out about the picture itself. We'd tracked down and interviewed every scent we could track on it except for one. Each person said they saw it before the words were written on it, as it laid on a table in the Hogshead. They thought it was a pick Aberforth left out because it has Sara and the kids in it. After they moved it to another table, they forgot about it.
"What bothers me most, is that even the Ancestors don't have any advice beyond, 'Ever actions has a reaction. Be on guard. Things will get worse before they get better. Oh that reminds me....'" I turned around seeing Tony's eyes more fixed below my waist. I looked at him like he had lost his mind, and the other guys laughed. Shaking my head I told him a message I was given for him during Spirit Travel night before last. "I forgot to tell you that your Great Aunt Bhuela wants to tell you that in the back yard of where the old farm house used to be."
"Oh no...," Tony groaned.
"Yeah...." I continued. Just because they were in The Great Beyond, didn't mean the messages were ever clear. Passing on the message as I was told I continued, "Where the strawberry patch used to be is buried a tin that jewelry was hidden in. Mostly costume jewlery - nothing valuable - but inside of it is a picture of your Grandmother when your Mother was a baby. She said that picture would mean a lot you to mom right now."
"Where the strawberry patch used to be?" Tony asked in disbelief.
"Yep, by where they pulled up the old stump." I smiled as he gave me a dry look saying, "I am just the messenger here. Look a mental detector should find it. It's tin." Turning around I added joking, "Maybe it will have a clue in it as to who this person is."
"He can't hide forever." Jalil said. "At some point we'll smoke him out."
