Well it looks like there will be no Thanksgiving or Christmas at our house again this year. Last year was my son's very first Christmas, he was only a few months old, but it really meant alot to me that We had a good Christmas. We had to caught up on bills and buisness was slow last year so there was no extra cash. We barely had a tree. And now this year I dont even have a job. I cried all month last year and I think theres going to be a repeat. Antonio has no toys to play with. The toys he does have are from whenhe was a small baby anddd hes not very interested in them ne more. And this is the time for him to be learning and developing his mind. Everyone keeps telling me its ok because he wont remember and he doesnt know. Thats true, but I will. I didnt have Christmas and Thanksgiving when I was young and I want him to have it. This sucks!

Do you have Craigslist in your area? (like Wyoming where I live they don't use it a lot), maybe you could post a plea to people looking to rehome some of their kids toys to make room for new ones? Like I was going to post an ad because I have toys from when my girl was 12-18 months old that she doesn't play with but a baby would love!
I'm sorry...don't give up now...you still have time to make a difference. Check FREECYCLE also, check on Craigslist (under free items -- like the PP said) and check with local Churches. Maybe Garage sales. You can also see if you still have time to sign up for Toys for Tots and you can contact the local Social Services Department and ask about local giveaways/programs for the Holidays. Call Churches...tell them your needs and see if they have any programs or can refer you to someone who does. And...there are lots of decorations and presents you can make yourself. Check online for FREE EASY decorations or Christmas gifts that you can make for free or homemade Christmas gifts for children. Check at your local Thrift Store too...they often have items for a dollar or two that are still in the package. GOOD LUCK...you can make it a good holiday season even without money!

He will remember the holidays no matter how you make them. It's not about spending money and getting great gifts. Do something special with him and just be happy together. It's all about how you make it.
