Robyn's Journal

My job is done if you go eww, OMG or LOL

Fact: The body sheds epithelial cells from every part of it.

Fact: While breastfeeding babies suck on nipples

Fact: Nipples are part of the body and there for shed epithelial cells

In conclusion I surmise that babies whom are "exclusively" breast fed for the first 6 months of their lives are in fact not "exclusively" breast fed because they are also consuming shed dead skin.

Thank you ~takes a bow~

ok that is sorta eww...but really, whats the point?

we also have teenny tiny bugs on our skin and in our eyelashes...and the average person consumes 8 spiders a year while sleeping...

Well that's gross.

But I'm not certain that the nipples are made up of the same kind of skin.

That is right! Cristie would probably know the sloughing rate on one's nipple so I can make a formula and figure out how many pounds of it Q has consumed.

80% of the dust in your house is your sloughed off epithelial cells.  Think about that next time you're dusting the fan blades or the blinds.  : O
