THE IMPORTANCE OF DOUBLE CLEANSING

Hi everyone! This Journal is dedicated to even better skin days! Many of you out there have never heard of double cleansing nor do you know why it is so important so I will tell you why.
Double cleansing is a technique for cleaning your face in the evening. This method ensures that all the makeup and debris accumulated on the skin is washed away and not left to sit on the surface and settle into the pores. Many of you are not aware that your daily face wash is not formulated to dissolve and remove makeup and probably think that adding an entirely new step to your regimen is tiresome and unnecessary. I understand that at the end of the day we all feel pretty tired and the main focus is sleep but if you tend to your skin with just a little more effort in the evenings, you find that you need to spend less and do less for your skin any other time. Some of you may already be aware of this method if you are familiar with brands such as Clinique and Dermalogica.
Most of you know that removing your eye makeup is important but you do are not aware that your face wash may be letting you down. Always start by using a cleanser or face wipe that says it removes makeup. Examples would be Precleanse oil by Dermalogica, Rinse-off foaming cleanser by Clinique or just plain makeup remover wipes which are the easiest but not as effective. I recommend the wipes on your lazy days when all you can think of is sleep and I admit that I have those days! After this step just cleanse with your regular wash and do not worry that your skin will dry out because the makeup removing cleansers are gentle and formulated to keep your skin balanced. Always remember to moisturize!
On a lazy day feel free to take a makeup removing wipe to take off as much face and eye makeup as possible and follow with a bit of moisturizer so that you can sleep better knowing that your skin does not have all that sitting there. Choosing to sleep without this minimum action will no doubt increase your chances of breakout and lets face it- NO ONE wants to wake up to that! When your skin starts to glow and your breakouts diminish feel free to tell others about this when they ask you why you look so radiant like a goddess! CHEERS!

Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse is awesome!!! Think about this: What happens when you put oil in water? They don't combine...but use oil to take away oil (and make up) and VIOLA.....it's the greatest idea!
