So me and my boyfriend never really had any fights about what this question is asking so can you please share with me some of you stories answering this question...

explain an argument you have had with your husband in the past based on a fallacy (informal or formal) I.e. arguing with your husband and saying your a man how would you know about this? the fallacy emplayed here is hominem. Present the argument you made, break it down syllogistically and identify the fallacy on which it was based...

Please help me with this...

This is a very weird post.

I don't understand what you are asking because you are using some big words, some are wrong; (hominem should read ad hominem, I can't find any such word as "emplayed")  mixed up with some bad grammar and none of it makes sense.  Are you asking for instances where the argument someone makes is based on a falsehood?

I think your logic teacher needs a grammar course.

hu, well i had to look up the words LOL:

Fallacy-1 mistaken belief or idea e.g.  something that is believed to be true but is erroneous

2. Invalid argument -e.g. LOGIC an argument or reasoning in which the conclusion does not follow the premises.

3. Logical error in argument- LOGIC a mistake made in a line of reasoning that invalidates it.

4.  deceptiveness- the condition of being misleading or deceptive.  (Invalid means flawed e.g. not acceptable or correct through being based on a mistake or employing flawed reasoning 2. Not legal e.g. not legally binding or enforceable)

ad hominem -appealing to emotions e.g. appealing to people's emotions and prejudices instead of their ability to think.

ok, well thats the dictionary stuff,  i keep thinking about p.m.s. lol, how all our percieved bad decisions or attitudes are blamed on p.m.s. therefore dismissed as valid reasons to be upset at "_____" incident.  dunno if that helps,  i agree w/ karishchup 2 replys up.  'officiall confused cafemomers'  LOL

My first boyfriend and I had a fight about whether or not one could get into the water and relax on the stairs to cool down right after eating because his mother told him he would drown if he went swiming. Obviously that relationship didn't go very far.
